Have you tried cleaning cookies and temp files? If not, go to tools, internet options and clean from there.

actually, the best is to download INTERNET EXPLORER 7 BETA 2.
works fine, stable, stronger security(banks.etc), and more reliable and faster.
propably a popup blocker, or if you don’t have any, then suggest to get a free virus, or spyware scan.

I suggest you get a new browser. Firefox 1.5 is available free from
http://www.mozilla.com
This browser has all the features of IE6 and more including tabbed browsing which will make it easier for you to view multiple webpages at once. I highly recommend you switch it’s better, even, than Internet Explorer 7.

This is worth a try –
In IE click Tools at the top of your screen, then select Internet Options, Click “Clear History”, then Click “Delete Files”. Now click on Settings and under “check for newer versions of stored pages” check “Every visit to the page”. Click O.K.
Now Click on the Content tab.
Under Personal information click on the AutoComplete box.
On the AutoComplete Settings window click the Clear Forms Box.
Close IE, reboot your computer & try.
