Hi I’ve been building decks for about a year now. Now my boss has me also starting to do some sales now. I have no sales experience. He has given me a list of customers that he has already given a presentation to but have not made a decision yet. I have to call them on the phone and try and get them to commit to us and sign a contract. For each one i can get to commit i will get at least $800. We play SSB at work when we get bored on his laptop. I do my best but he keeps beating me! Are there any tips or strategies I should be following? Right now I just play as Link and I try to keep my distance and throw bombs, I try to remember I have a block button, but alot of the time it doesnt come up in time. I don’t mind advertising, that is a part of the price paid for “free” e-mail service. Putting that crack head, s.l.u.t. on my page is offensive. Not being able to (or knowing how) remove it is worse than offensive, it moves me to violence. It’s bad enough that these people are allowed to continue in the “media” but for Yahoo to PROMOTE THEIR CRIMES AND STUPIDITY IS CRIMINAL!!!!
Overhype? Only a Pinhead believes these people are anything but low lifes with a pretty face

will get you different results, not relevant results.

and it will give you different result 2nd time,

Advertising (Terms of Service enforcement)?

The ToS and Guidelines are clear enough: no advertising, promotional materials .. or any other form of solicitation…. it is not OK to post links that are unrelated to the topic or are clearly meant only to solicit others for personal and financial gain,

and yet, perpetually, Yahoo group members turn up to Advertise this or that to sell; the group owners arrogantly refuse to stop it, and a friend of mine was banned from a group for attempting to object while Yahoo sat back and refused to intervene.

Is it always so much of a betrayal?

Do they ever actually do anything to enforce?

If as a matter of practical fact Yahoo do not object to the occasional personal ad as if to avoid an eBay fee, let us at least be clear, honest and efficient about it, please, with groups designed and approved for the purpose.

It’s just so frightening anymore that no one can trust the next person just because they advertise on a job list and for such a wholesome sounding job as a ‘nanny’ and supposedly by a doting family. As someone else mentioned elsewhere, try to get those types of jobs by word of mouth or perhaps with a nanny agency since going to a person’s house can make a person so vulnerable.

html/css. What am I doing wrong? background image won’t show.?

Everytime I add the body {…} to my style.css the background image either doesn’t show up or just shifts the spacing of the header and leftnav. I don’t really want to move forward with the rest until I figure this problem out. Thanks.

Divorced Men: How long does it take for you to move on after divorce & what do you need to make new rel. work?

Reconnected with a man who is currently going through divorce. Three years ago it was love at first sight. An emotional affair that lasted 6 weeks without sex. We both felt guilty of the affair & ended it before it went too far. There has been no contact by either of us for 3 years. He recently contacted me to advise he’s filed for divorce & time is on our side. Our emotions were intense, began dating for another 6 weeks, again no sex. Within that time frame, he made it clear that he wants to spend the rest of his life with me & have a child. The holidays were rough for him & he began to pull away slowly, too much too soon. Told me he needs time to himself to heal & be alone.. the second time around has been more of a secret than the first time. I couldn’t deal with his lack of follow through on committments of what he says/does. He began to pull a “houdini” every other week it seemed. He told me he doesn’t have a single doubt, no hesitation about our future together..yet he flaked New Years Eve & I was livid. I sent an immature text that I am nothing but a well kept secret & hes ashamed of me followed by an email with links to divorce recovery & co-dependent men support groups. A week later I sent an apology for overstepping my bounds & it is now a month later & I have not received one reply to anything, he just “poof” disappeared! I’m madly in love with this man, I want to spend the rest of my life with him & he made it clear he felt the same. What happened? Why’d he turn into such a flake? Why will he not communicate with me? Has anyone been in a similar situation, dated a man going through divorce? Am I wasting my time by having hope he will return once he has healed & the divorce is finalized? Obviously he is not willing or ready to talk to me at this point, what should I do? If this man does not want to be with me, I wish he would give me closure. But its clear we’ve both continued to have strong feelings for 3 years, those feelings never left us after all his issues at home & my relationships over that time. Thanks for your help!
